In Madagascar, ylang-ylang flowers are traditionally hand-picked early in the morning, once they have matured from green to yellow and their fragrance is at its fullest. The delicate flowers are taken quickly to the distillery, where different aromatic fractions emerge throughout distillation, revealing everything from intensely floral notes to deeper, richer facets. This luminous natural sits at the heart of Sun Is Up.

Our fragrances are composed at Extrait de Parfum strength, with concentrations ranging from 28% to 33% perfume oil. Each formula is carefully balanced to deliver lasting presence while allowing every note to unfold with clarity, depth and nuance throughout the day.

Every fragrance is developed with our perfumers in the UK and France over a period of more than a year. Throughout the process, multiple interpretations are created, evaluated and refined before arriving at the final composition. Only once every detail feels right does a fragrance move into production.

Every material is selected for the contribution it makes to the finished fragrance. From natural oils to modern perfumery ingredients, each component is chosen to serve the composition, allowing our perfumers to create scents with depth, character and lasting presence.
